Course Description

This course introduces the basic concepts and technologies of artificial intelligence system design for designing artificial intelligence-based games. In particular, you will focus on learning probability statistics and decision theory modeling.

To this end, we will look at basic search methods, game trees, Markov decision process, reinforcement learning, probability, perceptron, neural networks, etc.

We provide intuitive and practical learning about game artificial intelligence by actually implementing a simple artificial intelligence Pac-Man game through programming assignments over the course of a semester.
